The Executive Branch: The President of the United States (President Barack Obama) administers the Executive Branch of the government. The President enforces the laws the Congress (Legislative Branch) makes. The United States President is elected by the United States citizens, who vote in the presidential election in the Fifty states.
The Legislative Branch: Is the part of our government that we all "Congress". The Congress makes our laws. They are divided into two parts. The first part is the U.S.Senate, which consists of 100 Senators. Two Senators from each of our states. The second part is called he House of Representatives. The House of Representatives meet together to discuss bills, also known as ideas that they want to become laws. The House of Representatives have a total of 435 members.
The Judicial Branch: Is the part of our government that includes the Supreme Court. The members of the Supreme Court are special judges who interpret laws according to
our U.S. Constitution. These special judges only hear legal cases that pertain to issues related to the U.S. Constitution. They are the highest court in our country.
